Project Overview

In 2017, Go Energistics managed the decommissioning of the Navy Drug Screening Lab-San Diego, overseeing logistics, relocation, and calibration of over 80 sensitive medical devices to six dispersed locations. Services included inventorying, uninstalling, shipping, and reinstalling, ensuring seamless transitions across CONUS and OCONUS facilities.

2017, Go Energistics (GoE) performed comprehensive planning and execution of transition services to support the decommissioning of the Navy Drug Screening Lab – San Diego (NDSL-SD). GoE’s scope of work included inventorying and assessing, function testing, uninstall, packaging, transfer, shipment, and reinstall, calibration, testing and certifications for over 80 pieces of large, highly- sensitive medical laboratory equipment from the NDSL-SD to six significantly geographically dispersed locations:

» Navy Drug Screen Lab Jacksonville; Jacksonville, FL
» Navy Drug Screen Lab Great Lakes; Chicago, IL
» Forensic Toxicology Drug Testing Laboratory; Fort Meade, MD
» Tripler Army Medical Center; Honolulu, HI
» Lackland Air Force Base (San Antonio, TX)
» Navy and Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC); Portsmouth, VA

This project included complex logistics and specialized transportation requirements to plan the full transition and decommissioning of a major medical facility, including distribution to multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Within the realm of transition services, GoE was responsible for developing the move schedules, logistics planning, warranty management, and installation, calibration and testing.
